How to Submit Missing CD Information via iTunes

Things You’ll Need:

• Computer
• iTunes
• CD
• CD Track Information (or liner notes)

Step 1:
Start up iTunes.

Step 2:
Insert your CD into your computer. If the CD track information is not available on CDDB, go to the next step. Otherwise, you don't need to do anything but enjoy the music.

Step 3:
Select "No" in the window that says "The song names for this CD could not be found online. Do you still want to import the songs?". It's not necessary to import the songs to your Library if you're submitting the track information.

Step 4:
Right-click (or control-click on a one-button mouse on a Mac) the first track and select "Get Info".

Step 5:
Fill in the track information for the song you selected. You just need to fill out the name of the track for now. Hit "OK" when you're done.

Step 6:
Repeat Steps 4 & 5 for each remaining track.

Step 7:
Select the "Advanced" tab once you've filled out the track name for each song, and choose the "Submit CD Track Names" option.

Step 8:
Type in the CD information including Artist, Composer (if known), Album title, Year & select or type in the Genre.

Step 9:
If you typed in the Genre, and CDDB does not recognize it, you will be forced to select a Genre from the list provided. Select the Genre & hit the "OK" button.

Step 10:
When CDDB has accepted your information, you'll get a confirmation window. Select "OK" to close this window.
